How does Filterbox work?
Filterbox uses activated carbon and a specially designed mesh to circulate and purify the water. It removes bacteria and contaminants from up to 150 litres of water within 12 hours, completely without chemicals.
How long does a Filterbox last and how often should it be replaced?
Filterbox is durable and can last for several months depending on usage and water quality. We recommend replacing it every 2 to 3 months to ensure optimal filtration performance.
What makes Filterbox different from other water filters?
Filterbox uses no chemicals and relies entirely on natural physics to purify the water. Unlike chemical alternatives it promotes health and mimics the principles of natural spring water by adding oxygen to the water.
Why is there loose carbon in the packaging when my Filterbox arrives?
This is completely normal and nothing to worry about. Activated carbon, especially when made from coconut shell, can naturally release small particles during transport. This does not affect your horse in any way nor does it impact the performance of the product. Simply rinse the Filterbox with water before placing it in the trough and it is ready to use.
Does Filterbox work in winter when it is cold?
Yes, our Filterbox is winter-proof and works in cold water without breaking. We do however recommend that you check the water regularly to ensure it does not freeze.
What happens if the cube arrives broken?
Take a photo and send it to us via email at info.filterbox@gmail.com. We will then replace the cube for you free of charge.
How many Filterboxes do I need for large volumes of water?
The number of Filterboxes needed depends on the volume of water. Here is a simple overview:
- Up to 150 litres: 1 Filterbox
- 300 litres: 2 Filterboxes
- 450 litres: 3 Filterboxes
- 1,000 litres (IBC container): 4 Filterboxes
Note: For very large containers such as an IBC container (1,000 litres) we recommend using 4 Filterboxes for optimal water purification.
